Work Flow
Form and Fit Development
In the preliminary design process, forms sought to mimic back muscles and the human anatomy. Several designs were explored but ultimately a wearable massager proved to be the best solution, as it would allow the user to adjust the position of the massager on there back without awkward postures.
A variety of prototypes were created to find the most comfortable fit and achieve to optimal adjustability. Originally, the straps were intended to be a solid piece of stretchy silicone material. However, it was decided that adjustability of the straps was a requirement to fit the full range of sizes of potential users.
